Three things an agent has to do, in order
The check walks the sequence an agent walks: find the business, understand what it sells, then complete a booking and a payment. Plenty of businesses clear the first and stop at the second.
- 01Find: whether an assistant can locate you and pull enough structured detail to name you in an answer.
- 02Understand: whether services, prices, staff and hours exist in a form a machine can select from.
- 03Act: whether a time can be held and paid for without somebody on your side doing it by hand.
- 04Each area is scored on its own, so a strong listing sitting in front of an unreachable calendar reads as exactly that.
What lands on the screen when you finish
The report appears in the browser as soon as the last question is answered.

The score reads your answers
The questions ask about your own setup, and the report describes the result as your self-reported capabilities. WhatsDo verifies the live path before a business is described as AI-ready.

The run that measures a whole market
A readiness score describes one business from the inside. A visibility run describes a market from the outside, by asking engines what buyers ask and recording who gets named.
- 01On 29 July 2026 a set of buyer questions went to ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity with a pool of San Francisco med spas, and most were named at least once.
- 02That run reports who appears in an answer. It reports nothing about whether the calendar behind the name can be reached.
- 03The readiness check covers the second half, for one business, from the operator's own account of it.
That run is published in full, business by business, on the page for med spas.
What the score can start
The report ends with a link into WhatsDo onboarding. What connecting means for you depends on the system your calendar runs on, and every backend carries its published status.
- 01Square Appointments is the supported path today: availability reads are live, and the booking write runs in closed beta against a controlled merchant.
- 02One other booking system is in verification.
- 03Every other booking system is on request through us today.
- 04A low score is mostly work upstream of any connector: listings, structured detail, and a service list a machine can read.
Questions we get
Is the check free?+
Yes. It asks for a business name and an email, takes no card, and puts the report on the screen at the end.
Who sees my answers?+
WhatsDo. The business name, the email and the answers reach WhatsDo with the result. The funnel events behind the check carry the assessment id and the scoring version, and leave the name and the email out.
Does a high score mean an agent can book us?+
It means your own answers describe a path that could run end to end. WhatsDo verifies the live booking path before a business is called AI-ready, and a connector for the system you run has to exist as well.
Our booking system has no WhatsDo connector. Is the check still worth taking?+
Yes, for the first two areas. Being discoverable and having a machine-readable service list is your own work, and it holds whatever platform you run on. The booking and payment part waits on a connector, and the status of every backend is published.
How often should we retake it?+
When something on the recommendation list is actually done. Each result carries a scoring version, so two checks are comparable as long as that version matches.
