For massage and spa studios
Someone just asked an assistant for a massage tonight. Your table is free.
WhatsDo puts your treatment menu, your therapists and your genuinely open hours in a form an external agent can read. Square Appointments is the supported path today.

What an agent sees at a connected studio
- 12:00 PM$140
Deep tissue with Ana
80 minutes, with the turnover after it already blocked.
- 2:30 PM$95
Swedish
50 minutes. Open, and held by nobody until a booking is confirmed.
- 5:00 PM$180
Couples massage
Two therapists, one room, 60 minutes.
- 7:00 PM$110
Sports recovery
60 minutes, and the last slot an agent can see today.
We have not measured this trade. Our one scan covered 25 med spas in San Francisco. Square Appointments is the system we support today, so tell us what runs your rooms and we will say whether that is a yes.
How guests phrase it when a model is listening
Wording that used to reach a receptionist now reaches an assistant, which has to turn it into a named service, a length, a qualified therapist and a start time. The closer your menu sits to how people ask, the fewer requests collapse.
- 01“Somewhere I can get a deep tissue after work tonight, ninety minutes.”
- 02“Prenatal massage on Saturday morning, walking distance from the Mission.”
- 03“A facial and a massage back to back for two of us.”
- 04Every one of those needs a service name, a duration, a price and one confirmed opening before an assistant will put your studio forward.
Connecting the account your therapists already work in
Nothing leaves Square Appointments. You grant a read of your services and staff, we compare what arrived against what you sell, and the tablet at the desk keeps showing the screen your team knows.
- 01Grant access for the one location you want visible first, not the whole group.
- 02Walk the import: modality names, lengths, prices, currency, therapist availability, and the timezone the studio really runs on.
- 03Tighten anything the provider account describes loosely, because an assistant reads it literally and a guest reads it once.
- 04Decide service by service what is exposed. A studio often starts with two lengths of one modality.
The exact reads, writes and permissions are set out on the Square connector page, and the argument without the trade language is on the page for service businesses.
Where the agent stops and your team takes over
A treatment business runs on judgement that does not compress into an API call. Intake, contraindications, memberships: those stay with you, and the agent path ends before them.
- 01Moving or cancelling an appointment through an assistant is not available. A guest who needs a different day reaches you the way they always have.
- 02Intake forms, health questionnaires and contraindication screening remain entirely inside your own process.
- 03Membership rates, prepaid packages and gift certificates are not exposed, so what a member is owed is settled at the desk.
- 04The write into Square is built and runs in closed beta against a controlled merchant. The controlled run matching a created appointment against the provider record has not been published, and the status on this site moves when it is.
Tell us what runs your treatment rooms
One short exchange and you get a straight answer: bookable by an agent today, in a queue, or nothing possible for your setup yet. A no costs you a message.
- 01Square Appointments: connected and readable today.
- 02One other booking system is in verification.
- 03One further path exists and it is early and limited. It is not a general integration and we do not publish it as one.
- 04Every other booking system: on request today.
- 05Anything not covered above: we hold no published status for it. Ask and we will tell you exactly what we know.
Supported system review
Tell us what runs your calendar and you get one of three answers: agents can read your availability today, your system is in verification, or there is no path yet and we write to you the day that changes.
Questions we get
Could an agent book a therapist who is not trained in that modality?+
Not where the provider account carries the assignment. WhatsDo reads each service together with the staff attached to it in Square, so a treatment only two of your therapists perform is offered only against their open hours. Vague service naming inside the provider account is the usual cause of a bad match, which is why the import walkthrough exists.
How are couples treatments and two-therapist services handled?+
A treatment that takes two therapists and one room has to be modelled that way in Square before it is safe to expose. Where it sits in the calendar as an ordinary single-therapist service, we leave it out of the agent-visible menu instead of handing you a double booking to untangle.
Do guests still complete intake forms?+
Yes, and none of that changes. The appointment arrives in your calendar and your usual intake step runs exactly as it does for someone who booked through your own page.
Can an assistant apply our membership pricing?+
No. Membership rates, packages and gift certificates stay off the agent path entirely. An assistant sees the published price for the treatment, and whatever a member is owed is handled at your desk the way it is handled now.
We are full most weeks. What would we gain?+
Then volume is the wrong frame. Assistants act on the specific hour in front of them, so the requests that arrive land on the Tuesday afternoon and the late evening a regular skips over. We publish no forecast of how many, and nobody connecting a calendar should accept one.
